The sweetly aromatic Deep Cardamom Seeds is the fruit of a tropical plant related to ginger, and one of the world's most expensive spices, after saffron and vanilla. It pairs very well with turmeric and ginger. Both turmeric and ginger are roots, or rhizomes, while cardamom is the plant's seed. The spice is made from the sources found in small, thin pods. The pods have a triangular cross-section and a paper-like outer covering.
