Kala Chana, commonly known as black chickpeas, has a nutty flavor and buttery texture. Serve with rice and chapati, or prepare as a side dish as part of a larger meal. Kala chana is closely related to chickpeas and is sometimes called black chickpeas. After picking, they are sun-dried until dark reddish-brown.
